MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) - The sound of revving motors has returned to the Grand Strand with the start of Spring Rally 2019 in Murrells Inlet Friday.
The event runs through May 19 and features, food, vendors, concerts and much more.
Organizers said they anticipate large crowds but hope to keep everyone safe, sound and subdued throughout the week-long festivities.
“You won’t be able to move around,” began Leslye Beaver, one of the many organizers of the annual event. “But as long as we keep it safe and largely uneventful, I know we’ve done our jobs.”
Vendors said while the stop is one of many along a busy biker tour, the Murrells Inlet stop is circled for many reasons.
“I’ve been doing this for 25 some odd years and it’s always packed with people,” said Doug Arsemely of Sickboy Motorcycles. “Everyone just please be safe, traffic is horrendous and this area has grown so much."
Vendors and organizers said relocating to the Murrells Inlet area has presented challenges and unique opportunities, but Beaver said the partnership between them and Georgetown County has worked out well.
