One killed in single-vehicle crash in the Pee Dee

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning near Hartsville.
According to Trp. Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 8:05 a.m. on W. Billy Farrow Highway near North Center Road.
A 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling east on W. Billy Farrow Highway when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned several times, Tidwell said. He added the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was transported to Carolina Pines Hospital and pronounced dead.
The victim’s name was not immediately available.
