MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The humidity begins to increase with more afternoon storms arriving for the weekend.
The driest forecast this weekend is Friday where most of the area remains rain-free. You’ll begin to feel the humidity increasing as it feels a bit warmer into the afternoon. Temperatures will top out around 82° along the Grand Strand, closer to 86° in Florence.
The clouds begin to increase in coverage as we move into Saturday. It’s not a wash-out but we expect to see scattered showers and storms into the afternoon with the best coverage inland from the Grand Strand. Temperatures continue to climb with a few spots near Florence approaching 90°. Any rain chances will quickly diminish after sunset.
Mother’s Day is looking warm with another round of scattered afternoon storms. We’ll likely see a few more of those showers and storms near the Grand Strand Sunday afternoon. The heat index becomes a factor as the mugginess continues to increase. Expect it to feel like the lower 90s through Sunday afternoon!
