MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Sunny skies and mild temperatures will continue with warmer and more humid weather on tap for the weekend.
Today will be a repeat of the last several days with sunny skies and warm afternoon temperatures. Readings will climb to around 80 along the Grand and Strand and into the middle 80s across the Pee Dee. Humidity will gradually increase through the day making it feel a bit more muggy by the afternoon.
Friday will see the humidity slowly increasing a bit more as afternoon temperatures once again reach the lower and middle 80s. The only risk of a stray shower or storm will come late in the day and only for areas west of I-95.
The humidity will continue to increase through the weekend. An approaching cold front is still expected to drift across the Carolinas this weekend but with the risk of a few showers and storms, however the latest data continues to suggest lowering rain chances Friday and Saturday. Better rain chances will be expected on Sunday - especially later in the day as the weak cold front moves closer and humidity continues to climb.
While a stray shower cannot be ruled out early Monday morning, most of Monday will feature decreasing cloud cover and humidity. Lower humidity returns and makes for comfortable weather by Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
