MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Sunny skies and low humidity return for the start of the week.
Today will see plenty of sunny skies and lower humidity behind a weak cold front that moved through the region late Sunday. Temperatures will only be a degree or two cooler than Sunday with afternoon readings in the lower 80s, but the drop in humidity will be more noticeable.
Tonight will see clear skies and a few areas of patchy fog with temperatures dropping into the lower 60s.
Tuesday and Wednesday will see more of the same with sunny skies and warm temperatures each afternoon. Afternoon highs will reach the middle and upper 80s inland and the lower 80s near the beach.
By Thursday and Friday, the mugginess will start to make a comeback as winds turn more southerly. Thursday will remain dry, but a few showers and storms will likely develop Friday afternoon.
For the upcoming weekend, humidity will remain high as another weak cold front settles into the Carolinas. The combination of the front and high humidity will lead to a few showers and storms at times both Saturday and Sunday.
