MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Temperatures will remain well above average through tomorrow, while the risk of showers and storms creeps up.
An area of disturbed weather near the Bahamas now has only a 10% chance of tropical development over the next day or two. This area of moisture will move to near Florida later today and then turn northeast on Friday and Friday night. While no significant tropical development is expected, the system will increase the humidity and lead to a risk of showers and storms at times on Friday.
Rain chances Friday are at 40% and no severe weather is expected.
The weekend will see more warm temperatures and higher humidity. Temperatures will reach to near 80 at the beach and lower to middle 80s inland. A few showers will be possible at times, but much of the weekend will be rain free. Rain chances range from just 20% on Saturday to 30% on Sunday.
The latest trends show a return of drier skies by beginning of next week. Temperatures look to stay on the warmer side, into the low 80s along the coast and upper 80s inland.
