MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - An increasingly warm, humid and summer-like weather pattern will hold firm across the region this week.
The new work week is starting off with clear skies and warm temperatures. Afternoon readings will climb to 80 at the beach and middle 80s inland under mostly sunny skies and low humidity.
Clear and mild weather will continue tonight with temperatures dropping into the lower and middle 60s.
A very summer-like weather pattern will develop through the rest of the week with an area of high pressure situated off shore. This area of high pressure will pump increasingly warm and more humid weather into the region through the week, while keeping any significant rain-makers away from the area.
Temperatures will reach into the lower and middle 80s once again on Tuesday with summer-like temperatures arriving by the middle of the week.
Wednesday through Friday will see temperatures across the Pee Dee climb into the upper 80s to 90 each afternoon. A daily seabreeze will limit temperatures somewhat near the Grand Strand, but afternoon readings will still manage to climb into the lower 80s each afternoon. Skies will remain sunny through the end of the week.
The upcoming weekend will see more very warm temperatures, increasing humidity and a few showers and pop up storms as a weak cold front drops into the Carolinas. Rain chances will likely remain on the low side for Saturday and Sunday with just spotty showers and a few storms likely.
