MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Temperatures will warm to early summer levels today and Thursday before a slight cool down arrives to finish the week.
Gusty southwesterly winds will deliver early summer warmth across the region today. Morning temperatures in the lower and middle 60s will soar into the 80s this afternoon. Along the Grand Strand, high temperatures will climb to 85° - nearing record levels. Temperatures across the Pee Dee will warm into the upper 80s.
Tonight will be dry, clear and mild with temperatures only dropping into the lower and middle 60s.
Another round of warmth arrives on Thursday with temperatures once again in the middle and upper 80s.
A few showers and storms will blow through the region late in the day Friday as a cold front moves across the area. No severe weather is expected, but a few rumbles of thunder will be possible Friday afternoon. With more clouds around, temperatures on Friday will be a bit cooler with afternoon readings in the upper 70s to near 80.
Saturday will see sunny skies, low humidity and temperatures in the upper 70s. Temperatures will rebound back into the upper 70s and lower 80s on Sunday with just a very slight chance of an afternoon shower.
