MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Temperatures continue to climb ahead of our next storm system set to arrive before the weekend.
Afternoon highs are set to reach the 80s through Wednesday and Thursday. Areas along the Grand Strand top out around 85°, very close to record highs. Inland areas including Florence will hit 87° by Thursday afternoon.
Our next cold front is set to arrive through Friday afternoon. The increases cloud cover will drop us back into the upper 70s. Do expect some showers through Friday evening but severe weather is not expected with this storm system.
The rain clears for the weekend but we’ll hold onto the 70s into Saturday afternoon. The next warming trend starts by Sunday as we hit 80° again into the afternoon.
