Man in custody after firing shots at Market Common, police say
Police respond to shots fired at Market Common

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A man was taken into custody after police said he fired a gun in Myrtle Beach’s busy Market Common area.

Myrtle Beach police officers were called to the scene around 2:45 p.m. Thursday on Shine Avenue near Pampas Drive.

Myrtle Beach Police Cpl. Tom Vest said that no one was hurt in the shooting. He also added that there is no risk to the public.

Police are still investigating what led up to the shooting.
