MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - In our Restaurant Scorecard, inspectors found drain flies at several locations and raw meat imporperly thawing over raw fish.
At Texas Roadhouse Grill at 760 Coastal Grand Circle in Myrtle Beach, inspectors said they found raw beef stored over raw fish inside the walk in cooler.
They also uncovered unacceptable cooling rates for rice, cheddar broccoli soup and green beans inside the walk in cooler. Inspectors also said many items had improper cold holding temperatures.
Inspectors noted drain flies were found under drink machines, in the hand sink and behind the bar. The walk-in cooler door was in poor repair and didn’t self close and allowed air to escape, according to inspectors.
The base of the walls at the walk in cooler door were also in poor repair, they said.
Texas Roadhouse Grill received an 80 out of 100.
Inspectors made a visit to Tokyo Express at 250 Highway 17 North in North Myrtle Beach.
Inspectors noted employees could not provide the invoice for the sushi tuna. They also said that dishes were only being washed and rinsed, not sanitized.
The thermometer on the outside of the walk in cooler was not accurate and trash cans were not located in convenient places near the hand sinks, inspectors said.
Tokyo Express receives an 89 out of 100.
Raves Restaurant at 799 Highway 17 Business South received a near perfect score with 99 out of 100.
