Police: No evidence to support shots were fired near 44th Avenue North, Grissom Pkwy in Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach police have responded to a report of shots fired near 44th Avenue North.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police have responded to a report of shots fired in the 4400 block of Green Bay Trail in Myrtle Beach, according to officers on the scene.

The scene is in the area of 44th Avenue North and Robert Grissom Parkway.

Myrtle Beach Police Cpl. Tom Vest said officers were called to a house along Green Bay Trail and that everyone was out of the home shortly before 8 p.m. No injuries were reported, he added.

Vest said there is no evidence to suggest the initial call for shots fired was correct, and the area is secure and safe.

Police stressed there is no threat to the public at this time.
