MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - After a cooler and cloudier weekend, temperatures and rain chances are going up into the work week.
On Monday morning, most of the area will be dry, with just small rain chances west of I-95. Temperatures will be milder in the morning, hovering near 50. The rain begins to become more widespread through the middle of the day and into the afternoon. Monday won’t be a washout, and the temperatures will still warm to just above 60 for highs.
Rain chances are spotty overnight Monday into Tuesday. While during the day on Tuesday will be mostly dry, the rain will reenter the Pee Dee and Grand Strand by the evening. High temperatures are in the middle to even upper 70s, which could provide enough fuel briefly for an isolated thunderstorm. The rain wraps up as we head into a clearer and cooler Wednesday.
We stay sunny and near 60 through Wednesday and Thursday and middle 60s through Friday. Friday will be another shot of rain, trending mostly in the evening.
