MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A spring-like weather pattern will remain in place across the Carolinas through the end of the week with record high temperatures possible.
Today will see another round of warm temperatures. Readings will quickly climb through the day and reach to 70 across the Grand Strand and into the lower 70s across the Pee Dee. Skies will remain mostly sunny through the day.
Tonight will see clear skies and a little patchy fog. Temperatures will only drop into the upper 40s to near 50 by daybreak Wednesday.
The warmest weather will arrive for Wednesday through Friday when record high temperatures will be possible. Daytime temperatures will reach the lower 70s each afternoon across the Grand Strand. Temperatures across the Pee Dee will soar all the way into the middle 70s.
A strong cold front will bring an end to the warmth by Friday night and help to usher in another dramatic drop in temperatures. After climbing into the 70s on Friday, temperatures will only reach the upper 40s to near 50 by Saturday.
The cooler weather lingers into Sunday as skies turn mostly cloudy. The next risk of rain arrives early next week.
