ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - A suspect is behind bars Saturday after Robeson County deputies say a simple traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs.
Deputies say they pulled over 29-year-old Marcus Laquan Small on Interstate 95 between Lumberton and Rowland, NC. They says during the stop Small identified himself using a fake name and was attempting to hide drugs inside the vehicle.
The stop led to the discovery and seizure of a quantity of heroin, marijuana, suboxone strips, drug paraphernalia, a firearm and approximately $525 in cash.
Small has been arrested and charged Small with Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Heroin, Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver a Schedule III Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana up to a ½ ounce, Maintaining a Drug Dwelling/Vehicle/Place, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Small was placed in the Robeson County Detention Center under a $1,000,000 secured bond.
