Georgetown police officer arrested on domestic violence charge

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Georgetown Police Department officer has been arrested on multiple charges by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a release from GCSO, 26-year-old Brandon Rowell has been charged with second degree domestic violence stemming from a physical altercation with a woman resulting in visible injuries.
GCSO said Rowell and the victim live together and also have a child together.
Rowell has been booked at the Georgetown County Detention Center and is being held pending a bond hearing Wednesday.
