CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Conway drivers may need to make adjustments to their morning commute Monday ahead of an expected major construction project.
The City of Conway plans to begin a drainage line replacement project along Grainger Road. Officials say the portion of the road will be closed for about two weeks.
Students at Conway Elementary, Conway Middle, Conway High and South Conway Elementary will still be picked up at the same time but will now use the intersection of Grainger Rd and Rose Hill Ct as the primary pick-up location.
The closure will shut down the Horry Street intersection to Crane Creek Apartments. Officials say there will be no thru traffic allowed while work is underway.
Drivers who must use area are asked to use 9th Avenue or Horry Street to avoid the construction.
