SCHP reports deadly crash in Williamsburg Co.

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Williamsburg County.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened Tuesday at around 5 a.m. on Tupperware Road near Hemingway Highway.

State troopers report the driver of a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer was traveling northbound on Tupperware Road when the driver left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver was reportedly was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

The SCHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
