ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - The man wanted in connection to a shooting last week in Robeson County has been apprehended.
According to an online post from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, Robert McIntyre, 68, was arrested Sunday at this Lumberton home. Deputies say they seized illegal firearms, ammunition and prescription medication from the residence. He has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault inflicting serious injury in the presence of a minor, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, discharging a firearm within an enclosed structure to incite fear, maintaining a drug dwelling, trafficking opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The incident happened on December 23. Deputies responded to Southeastern Medical Center for a call regarding a female victim with a gunshot wound to her right arm and shoulder, the post states.
Deputies sought felony warrants for McIntyre following an investigation.
