MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Bare hands were handling food, debris buildup and the fish was thawing but not in the right way in this week’s Restaurant Scorecard.

We begin with Serafino’s at 587 Burcale Road in Myrtle Beach. Inspectors cited the business for employees who used their bare hands to handle ready to eat foods including sandwich pickles and lettuce.

Buildup was found on the slicer and there was debris buildup on the interior of the microwave, on the counter under the microwave, in the silverware caddy and on the stainless shelf over the cutting board.

There was also a buildup of grease and debris under coolers and cooking equipment. Serafino’s received a 91 out of 100.

Next up is Whisky River at 1409 Highway 17 North in North Myrtle Beach.

Inspectors found uncovered personal drinks on the prep cooler cutting boards and there were no paper towels at the bar hand sink.

They also found a buildup of mildew in the ice machine and fish was found thawing, but not according to instructions.

Whisky River received a 92 out of 100.

Lastly, In Shore restaurant at 1601 North Ocean Boulevard in Surfside Beach and Mister Sub at 1011 East Broadway in Myrtle Beach both received perfect scores this week. Congratulations to the two of you.
