RALEIGH, NC (WMBF) - The deadline for those in North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Florence to apply for federal disaster assistance is approaching.
That deadline has been extended until Wednesday, Dec. 19, according to a press release.
NC Gov. Roy Cooper said the extension gives residents more time to take the critical step of applying for assistance through FEMA.
Those wishing to apply can call (800) 621-3362 or can do so online by clicking here.
