MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - We catch a break from the rain Sunday but more heavy rain arrives later this week.
Clearing skies continue as we turn mostly sunny through Sunday. Slightly cooler air will filter in as we drop down into the upper 40s to start the morning. Afternoon highs climb to right around 60° under sunny skies.
More of the same Monday before we turn a bit colder mid-week. Temperatures fall back into the 30s by Wednesday morning with afternoon highs stuck in the 50s both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Our next storm system is set to arrive on Thursday and could provide another round of heavy rain. Expect the heaviest rain late in the day with showers lingering into Friday. Some areas could pick up another 1″ to 2″ of rain.
