Paula spent much of her childhood choosing to watch local news broadcasts and programs like NBC'S "Dateline" instead of shows targeted to her age group, so it was only natural she decided to study broadcasting during her college years. She attended Central Michigan University and graduated with a degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. Paula spent a semester abroad during college, studying journalism and international business in Paderno del Grappa, Italy.
In 2008, Paula brought her energy to WMBF News Today when the station launched. Three years later, she was promoted to the evening newscasts. You can see her now on WMBF News at 5 and 5:30, WMBF News at 6 and WMBF News at 11. She was honored with a South Carolina Associated Press award in consumer reporting for her story on "Extreme Couponing" in 2011.
Paula joined the WMBF News Team from WLIO-TV in Lima, OH and before that, FOX 33 in Cadillac, MI.
An interesting fact about Paula: she met her husband because of WMBF News. He asked her out after watching her morning newscast for a couple of years. Paula loves to cook, read, travel and spend time with her family back home in Detroit. You might see her around town with her puppy, Remo, who was a rescue, and her husband, Grant, who was a viewer.
