After years of playing the role of Barbara Walters as a young child in the basement of her home, Paula originally brought her energy to WMBF News Today, and stepped into the co-anchor role for WMBF News at 5 and 5:30 p.m., WMBF News at 6 and WMBF News at 11 p.m.
Paula joins the WMBF News Team from WLIO-TV in Lima, OH where she worked as the morning anchor for NBC Lima's First Edition, also pulling double duties as a reporter and producer.
A graduate of Central Michigan University with a B.A. in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts, Paula worked as an anchor, reporter and producer for News Central 34, a student-run production at Central Michigan. She also has experience as a production intern at Detroit Public TV and studio operations experience at General Motors. She spent time as an anchor and reporter for WEIU-TV in Charleston, IL before her first job as the 10pm anchor at FOX 33 in Cadillac, MI.
The experienced broadcaster was drawn to opportunities in morning news because "what viewers see and hear first thing in the morning helps shape their day." As a WMBF morning anchor, Paula was able to put a smile on the faces of her viewers before they walked out of the door for the day. With her new role as the evening and nightly anchor, Paula joins Grand Strand and Pee Dee families after dinner and before the end of the workday.
One of Paula's most memorable assignments was interviewing Jared Fogle, the weight-loss spokesperson for Subway, during her time served in Lima, OH.
