Florence County orders evacuations for parts of the county, mandatory curfew

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – As conditions continue to deteriorate across Florence County Friday afternoon, county officials have ordered a mandatory evacuation for portions of the county and a mandatory curfew that begins Friday night.

According to a post on the Florence County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page, the evacuation will be along Black Creek of Nena Lane, Split Rail Drive, E. Black Creek Drive, Stag Horn Lane, Atlee Court, Crooked Creek Drive and Creekside Drive, beginning immediately and to be completed by 12 p.m. Saturday.

Additionally, a countywide mandatory curfew from 8 p.m. until 7 a.m. for non-emergency activities goes into effect on Friday.

Exceptions to the curfew include essential public safety/medical employees and essential industry staff until further notice, the post stated.
