FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Timmonsville High School football player is recovering Saturday after being airlifted Friday during the 2nd quarter of the game versus Marion High School.
Senior linebacker Tyquavious Eaddy is still in intensive care but is recovering according to Head Coach Ron Baker. Eaddy suffered a 'severe concussion' during the game and was stretchered off the field.
Baker says he anticipates Eaddy being released from the hospital as early as Monday.
A Marion EMS worker told WMBF News the airlift chopper is only brought in for higher-level situations, it's not extremely uncommon but in this case got the player to a level one trauma center quickly.
