Darlington, SC (WMBF) - The West side of Darlington could see some temporary road closures as the city moves forward with its West Darlington Storm Water Project.

According a release from the City of Darlington, next week a crew from contractor Landsdown Earth and Pipe is expected to start work at the intersection of Anhow and Coker streets extending from there along Chalmers Street.

The City of Darlington expects temporary daytime road closures for about two to four weeks.

Landsdown also plans temporarily patch a section of Pearl Street worked on this week before this weekend’s Southern 500.

The release also says to expect delays and detours along West Broad Street between Milling and Washington Streets for about a month once work starts.

The $2.75 million project includes the installation of 5,738 feet of pipe.
