MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A 55-year-old man was reportedly beat with a club Wednesday night after confronting his employer about not being paid for working nearly 100 hours, according to a Myrtle Beach Police Department incident report.
Online records show Adel Mansour, 47, is charged with third-degree assault and battery.
Police responded to Tuscanini's Restaurant around 11:30 p.m. after receiving a report of an assault. The victim says he approached Mansour about not getting paid for 94 hours of work at $9 an hour. During their discussion, the suspect went back inside the restaurant and retrieved a club, the report says. Mansour then allegedly struck the victim in the left arm at the elbow once and his back multiple times.
Police say the victim sustained fresh bruises to his elbow and back. According to the report, camera footage from city cameras confirmed the altercation.
Mansour is currently being held at the Myrtle Beach Jail.
