NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

North Charleston police are investigating an armed robbery at a Mobil gas station Monday night. 

Officers responded to the scene just before 9:30 p.m. in the 8100 block of Rivers Avenue, according to the incident report. 

The victim told police in the incident report that a man wearing a red bandanna over his face came into the store portion of the gas station and pulled a pistol, the report stated. The victim then told authorities that the suspect ordered him on the ground and demanded a pack of cigarettes, then told him to open the safe, the report stated. 

The victim stated he didn't have a key to the safe and the suspect then took money from the cash drawer and left the scene in a silver sedan, the report stated.
