Georgetown men charged with stealing $36K engagement ring from car

Georgetown Police arrest two men accused of breaking into cars

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – Two men were arrested for allegedly breaking into a car and stealing a $36,000 engagement ring.

According to information from the Georgetown Police Department, Jackson Marsh, 19, and David Anderson, 28, both of Georgetown, were charged Tuesday in connection with the June 30 theft on Poplar Street.

The two suspects were reportedly at a Maryville Circle K when they were arrested. According to police, they still had the stolen engagement ring on them.

Both were charged with breaking into a motor vehicle and grand larceny. They remain in jail in the Georgetown County Detention Center.
