Police investigating after man shot while stopped at traffic light in Lumberton

LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) – A 38-year-old man was shot in his car Monday night while stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Crandlemire Road and Marion Road, according to Cpt. Terry Parker with the Lumberton Police Department.

The incident occurred around 8:05 p.m. The victim drove himself to the hospital where he was treated for a single gunshot wound. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening, Parker says. The only suspect description available was a black car.
