MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - New documents reveal what led up to a deadly shooting near Captain George's Seafood Restaurant last Wednesday.

Arrest warrants and affidavits from the Myrtle Beach Police Department accuse 42-year-old Javaline Dawkins of kidnapping Ryan Bryant after the two met up for a drug deal.

Evidence showed Bryant, 27, tried to escape from the trunk of his own car where Dawkins had reportedly trapped him inside.

That's when Dawkins allegedly shot and killed the victim at the intersection of 29th Avenue North and the U.S. 17 Bypass.

Dawkins is charged with murder, kidnapping and other weapons charges. Online records from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center state he remained in jail Monday night under no bond.
