MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A bond hearing was held Thursday afternoon for a North Carolina murder suspect who was arrested in Myrtle Beach.

Authorities said Joshua Beard killed Robin Teague by hitting her in the head.

The 63-year-old victim was found dead in her home in the town of Connelly Springs in Burke County, N.C. on June 17, according to WMBF News’ sister station WBTV.

Authorities said they got a tip Tuesday that Beard was in Myrtle Beach.

Local police and agents with the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division arrested him Wednesday.

Beard waived his right to extradition at Thursday’s hearing. Moving forward, North Carolina has 20 days to retrieve the suspect. If he isn't extradited before that time, he'll officially be released.
