FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – A 19-year-old is facing multiple charges after allegedly opening fire near a Florence County apartment complex Wednesday night.
According to a press release from the Florence County Sheriff's Office, Jamone Somaure Legette, 19, of Florence, is charged with three counts of attempted murder, two counts of discharging a firearm into a vehicle, and one count each of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent felony.
Legette will be held at the Florence County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing, the release stated.
At 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, FCSO deputies responded to a shooting near the intersection of Mayfair Terrace and Second Loop Road. The suspect is accused of firing at a vehicle leaving a nearby apartment complex.
Bullets struck the vehicle, but no one inside was hurt, according to authorities.
Additionally, investigators allege the driver of a second vehicle traveling on Second Loop Road was hit by a bullet, the release stated. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. There is no additional information on that person at this time.
A passenger inside the vehicle was struck by shattered glass, but reportedly didn't need medical attention.
A third vehicle was possibly hit by a bullet, but no injuries were reported.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
