TIMMONSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – It's an anniversary family members wished they never had to recognize.
One year ago, Daniel Setliff was murdered in Timmonsville, and to this day, no one knows why.
Setliff was a diabetic and a double amputee. It was his roommate and best friend, Danny Gainey, who found him when he came to the home one year ago.
Gainey found the front door open and discovered Setliff out of his wheelchair and lying on the dining room floor. The coroner called Daniel's daughter Angel who lives in Alabama to break the news.
A man known for helping others, now police need the public's help as they continue to hunt to find his killer.
