MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Two great white sharks were tracking a little closer to the Grand Strand on Tuesday.
According to information from the OCEARCH website, the shark named Savannah pinged off the Myrtle Beach area's shores at 8:57 a.m. Tuesday.
A little further south, Hilton pinged near Georgetown at 8:17 a.m.
Both sharks were tagged by OCEARCH last month near Hilton Head.
OCEARCH, a non-profit organization that catches and studies great white sharks, worked along the coast of South Carolina in March for the first time.
