HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A motorcycle driver was killed after the motorcycle traveled off the road and down an embankment in the Little River area, but the crash site was not discovered until the next day, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash is believed to have happened some time on Monday, April 24, on Highway 17 near Spa Drive, in the Little River area, according to Corporal Sonny Collins with the SCHP.
A Suzuki motorcycle traveled off the road and down an embankment, and the only rider on the motorcycle was killed as a result of the crash, Cpl. Collins said.
The crash scene was not discovered until about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Cpl. Collins said.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick identified the victim as Octavio Mayen Osnaya, 33, of Little River and Mexico. The cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries from the crash, he added.
The SCHP is investigating the crash.
