HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Two outages affected over 1,700 Horry Electric Cooperative customers north of Myrtle Beach and outside of Conway Monday morning.
According to the company’s outage map, 1,705 customers near Briarcliffe Acres were without power as of 9:50 a.m. Monday.
An additional 16 members were without power near the Wild Wings Plantation.
According to the company's Twitter account, both outages have been resolved. The cause of the outage near Briarcliffe Acres was lightning:
