GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – The city of Georgetown came out to wish one of its residents a very happy 108th birthday.

According to information on the Georgetown Police Department’s Facebook page, Chief Kelvin Waites was just one of the many well-wishers who turned out Thursday afternoon to honor and celebrate Pauline Sessions Legare as she marked her 108th birthday.

Dressed all in pink, Legare greeted a number of partygoers, including her daughter and son-in-law; Georgetown Mayor Jack Scoville; Georgetown Councilman Brendon Barber and his wife Pam Barber; her church pastor; and employees of the Prince George Nursing Home, among others.
