CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Conway police have served warrants on a suspect charged in connection with the November murder of a taxi driver.

According to a press release from the Conway Police Department, Tranique Prinze Livingston, 18, was charged Friday with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The charges stem from the shooting death of David John Bennett on Nov. 21, 2016, the release stated. The victim was operating a taxi for Yellow Cab when he was found dead on Dillon Street in Conway.

Livingston is currently in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center for unrelated charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a stolen pistol, the release stated. These charges stem from a March 30 incident.

In reference to Bennett’s death, Conway police previously charged Lloyd Edward Pertelle, III, 19 with accessory after the fact to felony murder.
