HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A Myrtle Beach man remained in custody Friday evening after being arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing that happened Wednesday in the Forestbrook area of Horry County and resulted in three people - including the suspect - being taken to the hospital.

According to online records from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center, Nathaniel James Winn, 31, was charged with two counts each of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

His bond is set at $220,000.

According to an incident report from the Horry County Police Department, officers responded to Fountain Pointe Lane just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in reference to a fight with multiple stabbing victims.

Two victims were found laying in the road. They were listed as a mother and son, according to the report.

The male victim was initially holding the knife that was used during the reported stabbing, but dropped it to the ground when officers arrived, the report stated.

“Both victims were covered in blood and stated that (they) had multiple injuries from the knife,” the report stated.

Officers then located the suspect on the sidewalk near the victims. The individually was reportedly “shirtless and covered in blood as well.”

Law enforcement was advised after an argument started, the suspect allegedly picked up the knife while inside the home and “began to stab and cut the victims,” according to the incident report.

All parties involved in the incident were taken to the emergency room.
