North Myrtle Beach offers free day trip to Artfields

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation are offering a free day trip to Artfields in Lake City Friday, April 28, according to a Facebook post from NMB Parks and Recreation.

The post states that 40 local artists will display their work at this event, including Nina Ortiz, art instructor for NMB Parks & Recreation.

Itinerary for the trip:

8:00 am - Leave the J Bryan Floyd Recreation Center

10:00 am - Artfields welcome center

11:00 am - 12:30pm- Lunchtime Crunchtime (20 Competition Artists take turns promoting their work in three minutes or less. Visitors are invited to attend and learn more about the artists who have been invited to exhibit at ArtFields 2017. Lunch will be available for purchase onsite.)

1:00 PM Artfields group tour

"Artfields started in 2013 with a simple goal to honor the artists of the Southeast with a week's worth of celebration and competition in the heart of a traditional Southern small town," the post states.
