Myrtle Beach Pelicans set date for 2nd Annual ColorBust 5K

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The patriotic ColorBust 5K is set for Saturday, August 12, at the TicketReturn.Com Field at the Pelicans Ballpark prior to the Pelicans game at 9:00 a.m., according to a press release from the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.

Runners are encouraged to wear white for this year’s patriotic red, white and blue theme.

The family-friendly event will feature music and colored paint. The paint non-toxic, washable paint will be blasted from the sidelines, the release states.

This is a rain or shine event. Participants are encouraged to arrive early for the pre-party.

Ticket sale proceeds will go the team's charitable partner, the Tidelands Health Foundation.

    BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is looking to identify a suspect who robbed a BP gas station Saturday night, according to a release. The suspect robbed the gas station at 5053 Southport-Supply Road in Southport around 8:30 Saturday night.     Educators of the future are taking a stand, following a vigil held on the camps of Coastal Carolina University honoring the 17 lives lost in a Florida shooting. CCU students Tyler Bealmear and Kaycelyn Laymon have a love and passion for children and education, their hearts broken by the tragedy, but each refusing to let situations like these continue.
