FLORENCE COUNTY, SC(WMBF) – South Carolina Highway Patrol is warning motorists to practice safe driving over the spring and summer seasons.
To help make our roads safe, South Carolina Highway Patrol will become more visible along I-95.
Troopers said traffic gets busier heading south along the interstate as more people go towards place like Florida.
"We know a lot of people are going to use I-95 especially coming in from North Carolina and heading into the Myrtle Beach area, which of course is our biggest tourist area around this area. Troopers will be along I-95 and right off I-95 along those beach routes looking for any aggressive driving," Corporal Sonny Collins, South Carolina Highway Patrol said.
Collins added officers will also be looking to make sure no one is driving impaired.
Officers said they will not tolerate speeding or erratic driving especially in construction zones.
"One thing to watch in our area is a lot of construction zones on I-95 from Clarendon County all the way to North Carolina on the north and south bound sides. As you travel thorough our area even if that's one of your commutes to work know that those work zones are going to be fluctuating from side to side," Troopers said.
