Funeral services set for Saturday for two Myrtle Beach High students killed after falling from hotel

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Funeral arrangements have been set for the two teenage girls who died Wednesday after falling from a floor of the Camelot By the Sea Hotel in Myrtle Beach.

According to information on Goldfinch Funeral Home’s website, a celebration of the life 17-year-old Amber Nicole Franco will be held at 12 p.m. at the funeral home’s Conway chapel.

The online obituary stated that Franco, born in Jersey City, N.J., was an honor student at Myrtle Beach High School in her junior year. She was described as loving the arts, “especially music and Asian-influenced culture.”

According to the obituary, a portion of Franco’s personal reflection stated:

We only have one chance to take a breath of this amazing world, please everyone find the beauty in love, life and family and unite yourself so that their can always be a great loving future for all.

According to information from Myrtle Beach Funeral Home's website, visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Saturday at funeral home's chapel for Daniela Flores, 16, who was also a student at MBHS. Services will then start at 2 p.m.

A funeral mass for Flores is also set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the St. Andrews Catholic Church, located at 501 37th Ave. North in Myrtle Beach 

Horry County Coroner Robert Edge previously said both Franco and Flores were on the top floor of the hotel when they fell.

Police continue to investigate the deaths and have said that foul play is not believed to be a related factor.
