HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Over 1,300 Horry Electric Cooperative customers in the Socastee area are without power Thursday afternoon.
According to information on Horry Electric's website, the outage is affecting the Socastee substation. Shortly before 4 p.m., approximately 1,305 customers were without power.
The outage was first reported at 3:34 p.m. Thursday. An estimated restoration time was not provided.
According to information on the South Carolina Highway Patrol's website, the outage is affecting traffic lights at S.C. 707 and Dick Pond Road, as well as S.C. 707 and Coalition Drive.
