Severe weather threat leads to delayed opening for several Pee Dee schools on Thursday

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A number of Pee Dee schools have delayed the start of classes Thursday because of Wednesday’s storm and expected severe weather in the morning.

The following school districts will be operating on delays.

Florence School District Three

Due to the threat of severe weather, Florence County School District Three will operate on a one-hour delay for students only on Thursday.

Florence School District Four

There will be a one-hour delay for students, Thursday, April 6.  All staff report at 7:30 a.m.

Marion County School District

The Marion County School District will operate on a two-hour delay on Thursday, April 6, 2017 for all staff and students.

Marlboro County School District

Marlboro County School District is announcing that for Thursday, April 6, 2017, schools will operate on a two-hour delayed schedule for staff and students.

Williamsburg County School District

There will be a two-hour delay for students on April 6, 2017, and all staff will report at 9 a.m.
