Deal Diva: Shop latest spring fashion trends without stressing out your wallet

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Keep stacking your coins up while you shop for the latest spring fashion trends and stay on budget.

Fashion retail expert Kelly Sessions has 19 years experience in the retail business. She is currently a manager for the retail store Maurice's at Tanger Outlets, and at Coastal Grand Mall. She said there are several big trends this spring for any age, any size.

"The cold shoulder is going to be one of the number one fashion trends for the season, as well as ruffles. You are going to see those huge everywhere," Sessions said.

The destruction-style jeans for capris, shorts, and jeans are also big this season, Sessions added.

Rompers are also a big trend style, according to Sessions, and it also extends to rompers with the cold-shoulder style.

"Right now it's going to be about the factor of having those really nice cut outs the shoulder area," she said.

A cold-shoulder striped romper at Maurice retails for $36.

Also hot on the runway right now are floral prints.

"We also have floral prints, that are huge all over the place and floral are going to be big whether they are big pattern whether they're small pattern," she said.

Maurice's offers a floral print dress for $39, and a linen jacket for $49.

When it comes to accessories this spring, you can be bold by wearing one statement piece, or by layering your neckline.

"We're also representing the nice, dainty layered look of your necklaces and as well as the choker because the choker did come back," Sessions said.

Maurice's offers the 24/7 brand, clothing specially designed to feel like pajamas but can be worn everyday.

A floral top is $20, with denim shorts for $34, Sessions said.

According to Sessions, it doesn't matter the style, the trend or fashion. It doesn't mean anything if it's not comfortable.

"The biggest thing with woman right now is the comfort, we're looking for comfort, every woman if you ask them what they want in their wardrobe the first thing they say is it has to be comfortable," said Sessions.
