GREELEYVILLE, SC (WMBF) – The Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office is looking for two individuals who reportedly posed as county employees and stole from an elderly couple.
According to a WCSO press release, deputies responded to a home in the 900 block of Burgess Road in Greeleyville on Thursday in reference to a burglary.
The couple told authorities the two suspects arrived at the residence posing as county employees and said they were assessing damage from Hurricane Matthew.
One of the men reportedly gained entry into the home. The female victim said a pocketbook was stolen, the release stated.
The two were driving a pickup truck with green-in-color letters on the side.
