High school students invited to learn about applying for college, financial aid

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Georgetown County high school students are invited to a free symposium that focuses on the college admission and financial aid process Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m., according to a press release from Georgetown County.

The event will be held at the Lowcountry Preparatory School Gymnasium, located at 300 Blue Stem Drive, in Pawleys Island.

The symposium will include a panel discussion led by admission personnel from Wofford College, the College of Charleston, Clemson University and Sewanee. A question and answer session will follow.

Students will also have a chance to talk with admissions and obtain materials from the schools.

The public can register at www.lowcountryprep.org/collegebound. For more information, call 843-237-4147.
