MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) – A collision Friday afternoon on U.S. 17 North at Tadlock Drive in the Murrells Inlet area has closed the right lane, according to information from the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

Asst. Chief J.R. Haney, with Murrells Inlet Garden City Fire Rescue, said crews responded to an overturned heavy truck on the U.S. 17 Bypass near the local Home Depot.

That store is in close proximity to Tadlock Drive.

According to Haney, the truck was leaking fuel, although he did not have an estimate as to just how much.
